Prison Ministry

“I was in prison and you came to me.” Matthew 25:36

We are compelled to share the Truth of Jesus Christ. Literally thousands of prisoners are desperate and searching for the TRUTH! Also, Christian prisoners are in need of encouragement and resources to help further their spiritual growth.

Jesus loves prisoners and He is actively at work behind walls!

The Encouraging Word has a proactive prison ministry. We currently minister to prisoners representing over 40 states by providing copies of The Daily Encouraging Word devotional, and mailing various ministry resources. Additionally, we provide ministry resources to prison chaplains.
